Giant Dome Theater

The Giant Dome Theater is a 5 story tall laser projected dome screen that plays a variety of different movies. I needed to create a brand that was simple enough to not over shine the busy movie posters but bold enough to catch the guest attention. Since the movies that are selected are of many genres and styles, basing the brand on the physical theater made the most sense.

Along with the new look, the theater also updated:

  • Installing 249 new theater seats

  • Companion seating was created for ADA guests

  • New floor and wall carpeting was installed

  • The screen was cleaned for better picture

  • The elevator was rebuilt

  • A guest engagement was added prior to the film

  • Marquee monitors were added for flexibility in films and customization for events

Logo

I created this logo to represent the dome’s architecture. 

The words are left aligned with a rag to represent the stairs you climb as you take your seat and the arch represents the dome itself. 

Pattern

We needed a pattern to bring some areas to life. Since the brand is all about the architecture of the space, I created this pattern based on the structure of the dome screen. 

Marquee - Large TV monitors display the movie posters

Ticket entrance - This is where guests enter and where they can find movie times (mockup)

Theater Entrance - This is where guests wait to enter the theater (mockup)
